We are proud of who we are and what we do. Come for a visit or join us!

The NC Knifemakers Guild was founded in June of 1992. From the beginning, the organization has had four fundamental purposes:

Through public knife making and forging demonstrations, by a group or individual members we try to display the craft and to educate the public. It is our intent to raise the general awareness of custom made knives and the people who create them.

Our membership is open to anyone interested in the craft. To be a voting member, your work must pass the inspection of our elected selection committee. However, the new maker will find that all of our members stand ready to help and encourage in any way they can.

Our quarterly meetings are organized around speakers and various demonstrations of activities important to our craft. These speakers and demonstrators are from our membership or experts in the field who come as our guests.

As a training resource, our Guild is prepared to present any aspect of our craft to organizations that feel it would be beneficial and informative.
